ARLINGTON, Va., March 11, 2014-- The Senate will begin debate on S.1086, the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act (CCDBG) of 2014, the primary federal grant program that provides child care assistance for families and funds child care quality initiatives.

Child Care Aware ® of America’s 2014 Symposium will take place April 2-4, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. This three-day event will focus on child care and early education policies referenced in President Obama’s 5th State of the Union address and bills currently before Congress, as well as research, practice and innovation approaches for child care that are shaping how families access quality child care.
