For Parents
NACCRRA understands all parents and families have a variety of needs and interests. One size does not fit all. We also know that no matter what your individual circumstances are, as a parent, you want the best for your children.
NACCRRA works to ensure that all child care is of the highest quality and is available to all children and their families across the country. Our members, Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) agencies, support parents seeking child care, helping more than 5 million families find, evaluate, or pay for child care each year.
We are also dedicated to supporting parents. NACCRRA has partnerships, programs, and resources that are designed to help parents find quality child care, get the latest information on child development and parenting issues, keep informed on current legislation and policies affecting young children, look at their work choices after having a baby, and have access to hundreds of fun, learning activities to do with their children.
Take a look at the many parent-focused programs, initiatives, and resources NACCRRA has available for you.
During NACCRRA’s 2009 National Policy Symposium, held March 10-14, in Washington, D.C., NACCRRA hosted 44 parents from across the country from 31 states. These dedicated parents traveled to our nation’s capitol to share their personal child care experiences directly with policymakers.
All of the stories and experiences are compelling, but they are just a fraction of the millions of parents across the nation faced with similar circumstances. The common thread throughout these stories is that parents want their children to be safe in child care. And, they want quality child care that is affordable.
Child Care Aware® Parent Network, a free membership organization within the National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (NACCRRA), brings you together with others who share your concern about access to safe, affordable and nurturing child care. Our members are parents, grandparents, child advocates and activists - and everyone who cares about children and the quality of care they receive. CCAPN is the first national virtual membership organization specifically focused on child care. The purpose of our network is to provide our members with the tools, information, and activities to build awareness about and, ultimately, support for high-quality child care in America. Membership in Child Care Aware® Parent Network is free and will entitle you to exclusive content and opportunities to network. Click here to explore the site.
