Applicant Criteria
NACCRRA feels strongly that recognizing and mentoring Leaders is a key strategy for our continued growth and influence as a field. NACCRRA's Board of Directors believes that
many of our future leaders are already in our State Networks or local CCR&Rs. We are soliciting applications from State Network and local CCR&R staff who have demonstrated leadership skills and potential.
If you have leadership skills, are willing to commit to a three-year program, and can meet the qualifying criteria, please complete and submit the attached Leadership Application to NACCRRA no later than December 3, 2010. Submissions will be accepted by fax, or mail.
Selected Leaders Must:
- Be employed by a CCR&R or a State Network for at least one year
- Have earned a Bachelor's of Science or Bachelor's of Arts degree, or higher
- Be a current CCR&R Professional Staff NACCRRA member
- Be recommended by a state, local or national CCR&R leader
- Have a signed Commitment Statement from employer
- Be able and willing to commit to two, two-week internships in a state other than their home state
- Be able to attend all Leadership Development Program functions
- Have future professional goals within the CCR&R field
- Demonstrate understanding of the basic functions of all service areas of CCR&R
- Have experience collaborating with other community, state, and/or national organizations
- Have experience with training, mentoring, or supervising adults
- Demonstrate problem solving skills
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
