Through leadership and education, Ms. Morgan was one of the first advocates for CCR&R as the systematic and comprehensive solution to improving the quality, affordability, and accessibility of child care. Strengthening Tomorrow's CCR&R LeadersThe Gwen Morgan Scholarship for Professional Development was especially created to recognize the link between three generations of CCR&R leadership: our founders, our current leaders, and our future leaders. This scholarship will support, through funds, training, and recognition, the development of our future CCR&R leaders. How it WorksThe Gwen Morgan Scholarship for Professional Development will be awarded annually to one CCR&R professional who demonstrates characteristics of a potential new CCR&R Leader. Applicants may self-nominate or may be nominated by others. A committee including NACCRRA's Executive Director will review applications and select an award recipient. The recipient will attend NACCRRA's Professional Development Institute (2008 Institute is in Pittsburgh, PA) and the scholarship may go towards any of the expenses associated with the costs of the institute including hotel, registration, or travel. The total amount of the scholarship is $500. About NACCRRA's Professional Development InstituteIn September 2008, NACCRRA will offer its second annual Professional Development Institute, designed specifically for frontline CCR&R staff. The Institute features the information, resources, and tools to help CCR&R professionals do what they already do well.... better. Staff from around the nation will come together once again for this exciting opportunity to expand skills, grow professionally, and meet and network with CCR&R staff.
