Operation Military Child Care (OMCC)

The Operation Military Child Care program provides fee assistance for Families of deployed Airmen. Deployment orders are required to be submitted with the application for verification purposes.

Eligible providers for the OMCC fee assistance program must have a state child care license, a state inspection report dated within the last 12 months, and they must submit a complete provider fee assistance application. Please visit the Provider Requirements and Documentationpage for additional information regarding the provider application and eligibility materials.

Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCYN)

The Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood program provides fee assistance for families of Active Duty Airmen and full time Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard members who are unable to access on-installation child care. Families living within 15 miles or 20 minutes of on-installation child care must be on the waitlist before applying for fee assistance. If you have denied a spot within the past 12 months for either a base-sponsored Child Development Center or Child Development Home, you will not be eligible for fee assistance. Waitlist verification is subject to occur at the time of the initial application, annual recertification, or during change of provider request.

Eligible providers for the MCCYN fee assistance program must have a state child care license, a state inspection report dated within the last 12 months, a complete provider fee assistance application, and must meet additional high quality standards.

Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) Respite Care

USAF EFMP Respite Care is specially designed for Air Force Families who have children diagnosed with moderate or severe special needs under EFMP. This includes exceptional Family member children whose medical conditions require assignment near major medical facilities in the continental United States, or whose needs are complex and require specialized continuity of care.

Air Force Home Community Care Program (AF HCC)

The Air Force HCC program provides weekend child care for members of the Air Force National Guard and Reserves stationed at specific installations during drill training weekends. For providers who wish to apply to this program, click here.
