Child Care Aware® of America Executive Director Lynette M. Fraga, Ph.D., was one of about 100 invited guests at the White House today for the formal release of President Obama’s Fiscal 2014 Budget.
“I was honored to be included and to have Child Care Aware® of America represented at the White House today,” said Fraga. “I was awed by the President’s commitment to early learning, and I look forward to hearing more in the coming days.”
In his February State of the Union address, the President acknowledged the importance of early learning and called for “high-quality preschool” for every 4-year-old child in America. He also called for Congress to adopt a comprehensive early learning agenda for America’s children.
The release of the President’s budget comes on the opening day of Child Care Aware® of America’s Policy Symposium, the premier conference that addresses the importance of early learning and issues affecting local, state and federal public policy for children in child care.
