NACCRRA Quality Assurance
NACCRRA Quality Assurance is a voluntary, national certification program for the field of Child Care Resource and Referral, including State Networks and Child Care Resource & Referral agencies (CCR&Rs). The NACCRRA Quality Assurance process guides CCR&Rs and State Networks towards continuous quality assurance and excellence in service delivery. HistoryIn 2002, NACCRRA launched Child Care Aware® Quality Assurance, a program developed by NACCRRA to increase the quality of child care services available to families. Funding from the Child Care Bureau supported the development and initial implementation for this program. NACCRRA determined that the value of Quality Assurance to the Child Care Resource & Referral field, as well as families across the country, warranted its continuation and expansion to provide families with the highest quality service possible. Expanded and Enhanced in 2008After the success of Child Care Aware® Quality Assurance, NACCRRA evaluated the program and its ability to meet the ultimate goal of improving the quality of services offered to consumers. Based on evaluation and feedback from CCR&Rs across the nation, NACCRRA discovered that the field wanted validation in more than just Consumer Education & Referral. In order to fully provide consumers with the highest level of service, CCR&Rs realized that best practice standards need to be in place in all CCR&R function areas to afford consumers the level of service they want and deserve. The NACCRRA Quality Assurance program now available is an enhanced and expanded version of Child Care Aware® Quality Assurance. GoalIt is NACCRRA’s hope that every State Network and CCR&R across the nation will strive towards becoming NACCRRA Quality Assured in the next ten years. This will ensure that all families, providers and communities across America receive outstanding child care resource and referral services. |
